The senses of foxes are very different from our own. The main sense with which we perceive the world is sight. We cannot know for sure which is the most important sense to a fox, but both hearing and smell must be important. "Text!" Their acute hearing is used to hunt small mammals and insects, for example by locating a mouse by the sounds it makes and then pouncing up to 2-3 metres to catch it. Smell is used to communicate but also to locate food. Foxes can detect food in a sealed bag or underground, as any person who has had a buried pet dug up will be able to confirm. The senses of foxes are very different from our own. Irrevocably brutal, demented, remorseless—sickening, yet gloriously exhilarating; such were the traits of obsession, potent and suffocating with its addicting grasp, coiling mercilessly about one’s mind, ravenously devouring their thoughts, feelings, and emotions, until little more than a distorted perception of the world remains. Such is a perception of admission, acceptance, and a severely heightened longing; a self-imposed reassurance, partnered with an otherwise unsatisfied thrill. Obsession is desire in its most primitive, primal, and instinctual state, where all logic is lost, instead replaced with a frighteningly animalistic mindset. To engage in obsession, to allow it to flourish and blossom without restraint, was to flirt shamelessly with disaster—this, Laevinus was well aware of. And yet, he hardly bothered in ceasing such immoral behavior.
It wasn’t a lack of will or self-control, but instead an intense amusement, and sense of fulfillment—without sex, Laevinus was lost, forced to live a hellish life of vigor and atrocious ferocity, slaughtering the innocent and terrorizing the undeserving in order to make up for his lack of female company. Sex was not only a thrill, a game of which he adored with every fibre of his being, but an outlet, as well. It allowed his body to release the copious amount of tension of which boiled intensely beneath the skin, in a somewhat acceptable, not to mention entertaining, fashion. And thus, with the arrival of love and loss throughout Laevinus’ life, a habit developed.
It hardly took long, for said habit to develop into a deeply-embedded, lethal obsession. He loved it.
The male’s lips twitched as he stalked grimly down the dimly-lit, concrete hallway, eyes clouded, brimming with a very raw and unearthly hunger—intensity, at its finest. His facial expression was forbiddingly grave, as though etched out of fine clay or granite, his blatant lack of expression and warmth obvious, features dauntingly cold, like that of brittle stone. Laevinus’ posture was flawless, each step collected and precise, and his demeanor demanded respect from those within range, such dark magnificence worthy of making others recoil against his fierce disposition. He was a force to be reckoned with, a valiant and magnificent King, and it was blunt in the regal and dignified way of which he conducted himself; so much power, so much brutal, raw strength and infuriation.
He took no prisoners, held no mercy, and souk out that of which he claimed as his own.
His territory, his loyalists, his power—he had made a wonderful foundation post-war, and he had his ruthlessness to thank.
The male’s body was tense, flexed and profound muscle sliding easily beneath his smooth and ivory coat as he made his way through the correctional facility, head dipped into neutral alignment with his shoulders, lips parted to display the very tips of his lethal canines. His mood was a rather bitter one, as his hormones had begun to run rampant—and, thus bloomed his instinctual need to find female company. There were several females of the pack, certainly, but it wasn’t as though he could simply take his pick; seeing as they followed him, willingly, Laevinus knew better then to act aggressively towards them concerning said aspect. He wanted to, longed to, but, of course, he instead exercised restraint. Or, rather, to the best of his ability.
The male carried himself towards the back of the building, easily bypassing the cafeteria in order to slip into the yard area, eyes flitting about in search of some source of entertainment. It was a cooler day, the forthcoming of winter near, and Laevinus paused in order to stretch, craning his head back as the muscle lining his throat and back tensed with the releasing sensation. He was a dog made for the heat, mostly, and though he had long become accustomed to winter, his coat did little to defend him from the elements. With that said, however, Laevinus was hardly one to accept weakness—thus, he instead accepted the nipping cold as a challenge, concluding to continue on his way throughout the courtyard.

The male was interesting, his body was tense, the tension rolled off of him in waves, but he did not seem afraid that he had wandered into someone’s territory. He seemed…ready to leave. His body began to turn and her own body mimicked the movement, but as he turned to move, she turned and came to a stop. Ears erect and alert, tail lifted in a dominating way- although it remained lower than what one would expect from a leader. Blatantly giving away that she was not the leader, only an enforcer of respectable rank.
“I think…you are a bit confused.” Her tone was borderline hostile and laced with amusement. If her tones did not give the right message, she hoped her stare would. Her greenish yellow reptilian esque gaze was sharp and swirling with a primal, aggressive nature. She was there to defend the place she called home, but her orders had never been to escort someone out. No, her goal was to subdue and call for Callisto- that is, if the collie was not already aware of the pest and on her way at that moment. Startlingly, despite her all too obvious intentions, Illarion did not move towards the dog, she remained where she was, giving him a courtesy as he seemed intelligent enough not to try and run. “What is your name, dog.” Her tones had altered slightly, calmer but authoritative.
Permission granted to use Grey's codes, I slightly modified them.
