[bg=000000]Sometimes Poser has to long for company. Sometimes he has to feel like he’s the only one out there. That’s what today has been—he feels like he’s the only man on the planet. Maybe it’s true. Maybe the rest of their race had died out too. Maybe… maybe everything else fell apart as he walked the earth. That would be just Poser’s luck, find somewhere new to live and have the world end right then and there. That would be the world as he knew it. Poser didn’t really know what he meant, or what he knew or… anything. He didn’t know anything anymore.
He doesn’t know how he got here. He doesn’t know how to get back. All Poser knows is that now, he’s watching the sunrise over the sea. It’s a beautiful sight, his belly down on the sand to watch. He had this bad habit of watching the world go by. He was a smart creature, and he’d analyze as it felt right. It always felt right, the thinking thing. His head… his head was a strange place. Poser didn’t know what he was supposed to feel, but thinking was another story. He knew how to think. He knew how to think for himself.
But Poser had never liked the water. He had never really been a fan of swimming, having too little fat to actually float. Sinking like a stone was something that he really could get behind. If he was going to off himself there were much better ways to do it. Poser had thought through them all. He’d thought it up, he’d figured it out, and that was all he really did need. He would have sooner chucked himself off a cliff than hopped into the sea. Poser really would have much rather taken a leap of faith. The things that spun through his head as he watched the sun come up over the sea, letting the sky bleed red.
