As a small family herd of mustang horses embraces late-fall, they begin to prepare for winter. Unaware that what will seem like a blessing is to actually be a bad omen, they soon rejoice at the little snow that falls that season. Following after, spring brings the usual storms, yet something seems amiss. The rains never cease and flood score the earth.
What will happen now that the weather has been knocked out of pattern? And how can the mares bring foals into this world with nothing normal... nor safe.
