Constantly lost, constantly in pain, constantly confused. We didn't understand what had happened. We didn't know what had happened besides a few massive bombshells hitting the run down city that the rebel humans lived. After such attacks our abuse had ended mostly, we were still helpless and maimed from our last beating yet still trapped at the end of the twenty foot tow chains. We hardly had enough energy to keep breathing let alone care, we wish the sick old cook could have brought us one last meal. Yet he was to physically enabled himself.
Alas he had cut a week chain link half a foot from our neck, the remenance still hung heavy on us, clattering and clanging as we hobbled along. We cared not to take it off, it almost just felt like our trade mark to keep where this burden of past bondage. We knew it didn't help us progress in healing from our last cruel attack of attention. Our ribs were finally rethreaded together from a few breaks and cracks, but they were still tender and if hit hard enough easily rebroken. Hearing our of one ear was starting to return, probably never fully though, as for the rest aimless and many merciless wounds we've suffered. All had hindered us, yet we hung on, from some purpose or another, though we almost cherished the pain received as that was the only time we received attention from others.
Odd but pain meant we were thought about enough to be given the time to be a kicking a punching bag, once and awhile be the piñata for a crowbar here and there. Apparently we were important enough for humans to take their frustration out on, at least we were thought of in a sense without being fully forgotten. Perhaps that's why we were lost now, no one paid us with a punch in the muzzle or a kick in the ribs anymore, we just wandered pointlessly to this new town. Grunting in endless pain, our gut growling in hunger, we were not strong enough for the hunt and the scraps we found were measly and worthless.
A few more slurps we took from this dinghy puddle of water, left over from the nights pouring rains and spring thunderstorm. We'd spent the night in a culvert on the side of a road, already a few hours later a rest for our washed up fame sounded amazing. Perhaps these train tracks would lead to something for us to stow away in for awhile, least that was our hope if there was anything to put hope in anymore. We could never understand why the old homeless woman had a smile on her face every day when we had been with her. We never seen a reason for her to be happy without home, love and family back then and still don't today. She has always mentioned hope, we just never got it.
It seemed for an insane amount of hours did our ebonite and rouge bodice trudge along the tracks, lithe long but thick limbs dragging heavy club like paws forward with every step we took. Our broad tiara drooped before us bobbing to our irregular walking rythme, tongue lulling out with no care or effort to retracted it into our muzzle. Tail being tossed back and forth from each heal without any desire of raising to from being treaded on, what was the point we had nothing to show for, no one to impress.
Our spectacles were almost clouded with lifelessness, we were the undesirable and unneeded, there was no more point to us and we cared not to take care of ourselves. It was apparent in every bit of our structure that we cared not anymore, a band of wild street hounds could've ambushed us and we'd have taken the beating till we'd. Be left for dead. We even figured we'd end up purposefully provoking them just so it'd be guaranteed to attack us, god knows it'd be better than this train track we followed for miles.
Our dome rose in slight disbelief, a train station was in view before us, cars and trolleys scattered all over the place. Just wonderful! Perhaps a passenger car had a comfy cushioned seat for as to lay on? We pressed ourselves to pick up pace, wincing and grimacing at the shots of hot pain through our ribs as we did so. Ignoring such annoying hinderances on the body, we were close to a decent looking car we didn't care about the pain. Damn the steps were high as we hobbled up to one, grunting we forced our front pillars to raise and stretch uncomfortably to the step. Sucking in a deep breath we jumped up.
Gasping as one hind leg missed, sending us sprawled across the steps almost helpless, we scrambled with our front paws and jaws to grab ahold of something before dully toppling over. Back on the ground. Yes we were able to grapple ahold on the first vertical bar of the railings with our canines, huffing a few breaths to regain ourselves. Finally we summoned the strength to pull ourselves up to the platform, staggering forth till we leaned against the open doorway of the passenger car. We now debating of jumping in a seat anymore. Instead we mouthed a corner of the nearest cushion and gave a big yank, practically falling again. It ripped right off from the amount of mold a wear it had, we dropped in in the center isle and flopped onto it.
A big sigh of relief as our worn body appreciated the softer bedding, food could wait as we yawned and stretched our throbbing bodice. Rest sounded amazing as our eyelids began to fall heavily and quick. We knew not of other canines in the area or there was any, at this point it didn't matter.

Everyday was a chance for new adventure, she knew that being a young pup, quite frankly, she could never get enough of it. Why waste time? Everyone should live in the moment, and focus on what was happening right now. Her paws graced the rough concrete below, making a scraping sort of sound that she could never grow fond of. It was like nails on a chalk bored. Sighing heavily, Tawni shook the thought from her mind, free of such a burden. Maybe If she tried not to think about it, it would go away. Or at least be less of an annoyance. It had been raining last night, the puddles which coated the street in little spots made that clear. Padding over to one eagerly, she paused for a moment, glancing around to see if anyone was watching. Pleased to see no one was, she bounded into the water, a big splash erupting as the cool water soaked into her fur. Oh, mother would be mad. She almost forgot what it was like to have a mother, spending so much time on her own. The world was nothing but her play ground a world that she held in her hands like putty. But, that was only because she didn't know any better, no darkness existed, no shadows. The puddle was behind her now, it served it's purpose as quick game, and wet feet now left little dark paw prints along the pavement. The wind was nice against her face, perking her ears as a mysterious thing came into view. She never had people, so honestly she didn't know what any of this stuff was for. Trotting over, she peered down at the tracks, then back at some motionless big machinery. The tracks were far more interesting, slowly she lowered her body down, until her paws hit the rock flooring. Her damn legs were still so short, this was going to have to change, and soon. But, she was still growing, just a puppy. The feeling of rocks instead of man made concrete was nice, something natural finally. Shaking her head, she immediately dropped her nose to the ground, sniffing rather quickly. Someone was here, but the thought was washed from her mind as a small grey rat watched her carefully. Instantly her tongue rolled out of her mouth, she could feel her tail wagging slowly behind her. She had always wanted a little friend. Tawni would watch him carefully for a few moments, before padding up to him, and strangely enough he didn't scurry off. "Hello there..." she yipped gently, and he just stared at her with those big eyes, nose twitching. A big smile stretched across her maw, and she bounded up to him, sniffing his tiny head with her much larger nose. Interestingly enough he did not run, just sniffed her back. "Maybe we can be friends." her voice was awfully soft, for fear she might scare the little creature. Lowering her head down, surprise hit her when the little creature climbed upon her, his tiny feet padding across her back until he gently perched himself on her rump. Tawni smiled, "I'll take that as a yes, i'll call ya snip." This was the start of a wonderful friendship. Her thoughts drifted to Andie, and she couldn't help but giggle slightly. What did she think or rats? With the little creature perched comfortably on her back, she continued to explore, time to find out who was here. Climbing inside one of the big empty cart looking things, she would soon find them, sprawled out across one of the seats. Her ears perked up, tail wagging. She had always been so naive, it came with the young age. "Hello...." she said gently, her voice a bit cautious now, she had no idea who this stranger was. So she would sit upon the steps, the little rat moving, climbing to perch himself upon her head so he wouldn't slide off. [/blockquote]

ONORA
|
3 years. bitch. Beauceron. Versatile. Loner.
The ebonite and rouge matron was far lost in sleep by the time the little clumsy pawed pup had stumbled upon her. She was completely oblivious to it, lost in her twisted nightmarish dreams. The beauceron was flinching and twitching, sometimes whimpering as if she were being beaten. Once and awhile there'd be a deep growl but a high pitched wine would always follow, like as if she was attempting to stand up to her abuser but they'd hit her even harder for it every time.
it wasn't till a yip of hello from the real world did she groggily come to, confused completely Onora blinked her rich amber orbs as her site was out of focus. It took her a few moments to realize there was a furball before her, it was cute to, to bad she'd never been that darling perhaps she would've had a better life. Grimacing the cow-herding dame forced herself to sit up, the chain a normal weight upon her neck as she did so. Looking to the pup curiously and then glancing around to everywhere else in the trolley. There were no others yet to be found, hopefully there wasn't an ambush waiting for her outside.
Onora looked back at the pup with a tan spotted brow raised, "Greetings young one... Are you lost?" she asked just incase the pup was, if so she'd gladly help her find her mother again. There was a slight French twang of accent to her lyrics when she had spoken, nothing strong just a basic hint from her natural purebred French bloodlines. It had been horrible as a pup no one could hardly understand her, but now she'd been exposed to so many different cultures it had died down alot.
Shifting nervously on her large paws, she wasn't the best with strangers even if it was a puppy, they were known to attack without warning at times as well. Onora kept glancing from the pup to the windows and entrances of the cart in fear of someone else coming in, she was not one favored of being cornered. Breathing deeply though she did her best to keep calm, it was only a puppy after all..
ooc:sorry its taken so long, its not that great, bare with me I'm trying to see what writing style still works best with Onora.

The much larger female would groggily shift from her sleep and Tawni just watched. Chocolate brown depths wide, unsure if the stranger was going to try and eat her or not. She could do nothing but sit there, with her newly acquired friend perched upon her head. And it wouldn't be long till words came from the females maw. Tawni paused for a moment, taking in her question before shaking her head kinda frantically. "No, no, no." she yipped back at her. She knew how to get home by now, although she probably shouldn't be out on her own that didn't mean she was lost. The reaction was quick, and she pulled herself upon her clumsy little paws, her legs awkward as she began to climb up the rest of the steps. "I know how'ta get home, I promise." she confirmed, nodding her head sharply as if to emphasize the point. The abrupt movement made Snip shift his position, as he glared down at her for disturbing him. But he never left despite the awkward unsteady movements of his ride. Tawni noted that the stranger seemed kinda stressed, she cocked her head to the side and couldn't help but giggle a little bit. "You aren't afraid of me are ya?" she asked. Tail wagging curiously as she neared the stranger, no fear really crossed her mind. No true fear, she had no experiences to give her any reason to fear strangers. As Snip moved back to his most comfortable spot on her rump, she smiled at the stranger. "The name's Tawni, what's yours?" she asked curiously, sniffing the air, stretching her nose into the space around them. She wanted to know, so many things. Tawni had really no sense of personal emotional boundaries of physical, in fact she had already inched pretty close to the female. Too close for comfort one might say, but for a puppy especially at her young age she had no need to even consider such things. Little manners and no maturity whatsoever. She had to stick her nose in everything and anything that she came across. Had to know everything and put everything in her mouth. Becoming distracted she bounded over to a small pebble and scooped it up, moving it around in her mouth a little bit before spitting it back out. She looked down at it for a brief moment before her eyes shifted back to Onora. [/blockquote]

ONORA

3 years. bitch. Beauceron. Versatile. Loner. 27inches. 85lbs
The bas rouge female eyed the pup suspiciously as it finally piped up and answered her, after the mini-sized dog moved she realized the odd ornament upon her head. It was just a simple sewer rat in which could serve as a decent appetizer for Onora, a meal for the pup, so why'd the kid not eat it? Then the half-pint spoke again, mentioning fear. Onora rolled her orbs and realized the pup was harmless, so she settled back down on the cushion and put her large dome on her massive paws.
"Afraid of you. No. Afraid if your the bait for a trap yes.. Why don't you eat the rodent?" Her lyrics flowed more dull with lack of interest, there was still a possible chance she'd get jumped but she had no hopes of putting up a real fight anyway. Sighing her skull slightly pivoted looking around again at the windows in sight, nothing was popping through them yet. The inevitable wait was annoying.
The pups movements brought her attention back to the little tyke. Tawni it called itself. And Tawni knew how to get home. Or so was said earlier. A yawn split the beauceron's jowls wide open displaying her large sharp ivories as she stretched out her tongue sucking in as much air as possible from a yawn. Tawni was maybe a puppy step or two away and was sniffing her curiosity away after chasing a pebble. Did puppies really have that short of mind track?
Grumbling at the puppy and at her pain, Onora slunk her head to her side as she curled up tucking her paws in as well. "Onora. Now go back home." She blurted through a tired huff at Tawni, her sleep hadn't rested her up to well so she planned on just ignoring this Tawni and getting some more shut eye. If only puppies would listen that easily.

Tawni cocked her head to the side as the large female settled back down on the cushion, this did look like a comfortable place to rest. But she was in no mood for rest, her mind was going a million miles an hour. She had too much energy to rest, it was mid day there was no time for resting now. The small pup couldn't help but laugh a little bit, a trap? Why did everyone think she was set out to destroy them? Truly the world couldn't be that terrible. Anyway she didn't even know how to be a bait. Doing a circle, she smiled and shrugged her shoulders, peeking outside. Nope, no bait here. However at the dogs next words, she backed up. Appalled and looked back at Snip apologetically. "Why would I do that?!" she barked, her tail falling down. She couldn't eat him, no one could eat him. He was her friend. "This is Snip...he's my friend." she explained, looking back as the little grey rat got settled again. Even though Onora was completely uninterested she didn't care, she just put out good energy, positive. She narrowed her eyes on Onora, puffing out her chest a little bit. She didn't have to listen to her, Onora wasn't her mom. "I don't want to." she snapped, hitting the floor with one paw. Her rebellious nature would kick in since Andie wasn't around, she was probably the only one she'd listen to, and reluctantly at that. Sighing, she paused for a moment contemplating what to do. Maybe Onora could come home with her, she looked like she wasn't very comfortable here. And Rhazorn had a lot of comfy beds, and she wouldn't have to be all alone anymore. "You should come see my home, maybe you can stay." she suggested, smiling, wagging her tail with the idea buzzing in her mind. She didn't really know how to recruit members for the pack, but maybe it would be a way to show them that she wasn't a danger. Sitting down, Snip scurried up the top of her head, looking rather displeased of her constant fidgeting. But she couldn't help it, she was antsy and even more so now waiting for Onora's response. ONORA

The pup made the bas rouge fae chuckle at being offended about the comment of eating her rodent. It was amusing to see the startled fuss the kid had over it, stomping her paw in a temper tantrum. "Foods scarce. Rat would be perfect meal for a little one like you.. Naming food isn't bright either." Onora taunted the puppy even more, the little critter was a wee bit cute, but still it was a rat.
Onora sighed rolling on her side that didn't hurt, tow-chain raddling around her neck at every movement. Shutting her eyes in a way ignoring Tawni's presence as she just wanted sleep. "Stubborn brat." the ebonite and tan fae muttered under her breath as the floppy eared fuzz-ball defied leaving. Was sleep a sin to do? The half-pint did mention something that perked her own folded ears.
A moment later her eyelids peeled open to look at Tawni at the sideways angle Onora was laying. "... What for.. Your family or pack or whatever probably is not happy that you are off wandering unwatched. I doubt they'd accept you being around a goon like myself." The beauceron grumbled propping herself back up on her shoulder and looking away to out one of the windows. "Plus I don't.. get dealt with nicely by others.. I'd be rejected Kid. No use." Onora's red brows creased as she looked down at the ground. She didn't know how to live with other dogs, all she knew was to be at the end of a chain to be used as a piñata.

This was so incredibly offending, Tawni didn't even know what to do with herself. And now she was laughing at her! Frowning, she growled a little bit. It wasn't funny, Snip was her friend, maybe just of a few minutes ago, but still her friend. Her ears went back with the discomfort of the idea, the whole thing was just sick. And Tawni glanced over at Snip. "Don't listen to her, she doesn't know what she's talkin' 'bout" she reassured him. The little creature just cocked his head to the side, and continued cleaning itself upon it's perch. She sighed, and shifted her weight, growing rather bored. Glancing around at the empty cart, maybe there was something more interesting than this old dog. Ha, old. She giggled to herself a little bit, and padded over climbing underneath one of the seats. It was filled with nothing but dust, and dirt. Maybe some of Snips friends had found it a nice home at some point, but they were gone now. Wiggling backwards out from under the seat, she cocked her head at Onora. "Whats'a goon?" she asked, generally disregarding everything else the dog had said. Until she spoke again anyways. And Tawni shook her head. "They wouldn't reject ya. I promise." she assured her with a sharp nod. No they wouldn't, they didn't reject her. And they thought she was some kinda spy or something. But hey she was still living there. Maybe cause Andie would eat them if they didn't let her stay. "They're real nice, an all girl family. They thought I was some kinda spy or somethin', but they still let me stay." she explained, sharing her own story of almost being reject. They were nice dogs, except Rue, she didn't like her much. Rue was just rude, saying all that stuff in front of her. She would be ok if she never saw the long haired collie again. Shaking her head, she tried to free her mind of those bad thoughts. That was just bad times, bad, bad times. Not something she wanted clouding up her mind anyway. Wagging her tail a little bit, she stared at Onora, hoping she would come with her. She just, well she just had to. Everyone needed a home, even this dog. It was worth a shot right? There was no harm in trying. Lying down, she sighed impatiently. Fidgeting trying to get comfortable - with no success. [/blockquote]

A smirk set on the French bred herder facade hearing the astonishment in the pups voice as she cooed to her pet rat. It honestly seemed the rodent didn't give a hoot as it just sat there. Why would a dog even cling to such a small being anyways?
Sighing Onora ignored the goon question, she wasn't a great explainer in the first place. The beauceron fae was quite for perhaps a minute or so, pondering it over. To a point she didn't care, to another she knew she'd be better off in numbers. Perhaps till she was healed fully?
Looking back up at the kid she rolled her eyes, "I'm not a big fan of crowds. If they chase me off, I'm coming after you runt." adding a chuckle at the end to let Tawni know she wasn't serious about the last part. Grimacing and clenching her enamels as she lifted herself off her throne of a cushion, her ribs screamed at her to stop moving. Ignoring the pain as usual on a daily basis, she'd definitely need safety in numbers to make a full recovery in this dog eat dog world.
ooc: Fizzeh said it'd be okay if Tawni lead Onora to Illy in her open beach thread for Onora to officially join the pack. If you wanna do that?
