It was pitch black and her eyes were wide with fear, trying to peer through the night. It was clear she had abandoned where the people used to live by the fact that earth was under her feet, not concrete. It was cool, and kinda wet, which meant the sky had probably dumped that cold liquid on them not long ago. Muscles tensed as she padded through this unknown land, a hundred or so unfamiliar scents crashing into her nose. It was dark out now, and nothing but black was before her, aside from the few nature like plants that she bumped into. Sighing, she continued on, the world was silent to Seven it always had been, always would be. Since the day she came into this world, where her siblings gained their hearing, she did not. Only sight, which was enhanced thanks to the lack of hearing. But not being able to hear meant she also couldn't talk, not being able to hear her own voice. Words didn't even exist to her, nothing but silence and jaws that opened for no reason but to eat, drink and defend herself.
Her tail would remain clung close to her body, fear enveloping her. She didn't know where she was, or why she was here, or how to get back to the city. Fail. she thought to herself, her words even inside her own mind were rough, often broken up. And most of the time didn't mean what they meant to everyone else. Fail. She was lost. She had messed up in her directional sense and Mat was nowhere to be found. Where had he gone? She needed him. He was her guide, her portal that allowed her to communicate with normal dogs and...other creatures. Without him she felt more vulnerable than ever. Exposed and lost, she would surely die out here. It would be the end. Her frantic mind began to go into panic and she picked up her pace.
Glancing up as she felt cool little droplets hit her nose, she narrowed her eyes. Damn this world, again with the liquid, it was cold, never made her feel good. Finding a small bush in the darkness of the forest, she huddled underneath it, curling her body close to itself. Although she was still getting wet it would have to do. It was something right? The night was just beginning and soon the night time temperature would drop even further. She was only about six months old, and lost.

It was a particularly stormy night, but that didn't stop Damsel from leaving her area to go stretch her legs. Ever since her three pups had been born, Marque, Rynntiak, and Aeris, had been born, she had spent most of her time with them, making sure they were all well and fine. It wasn't often Damsel got a moment to herself, and since the three tiny bundles were fast asleep, none of them waking until tomorrow, she decided she would take a small stroll somewhere. Just somewhere she could stretch her legs for a while, and then come back to her pups and be there for them to wake up to. She knew she probably wasn't going to get any sleep that night.
After the female left the confines of the Nemilest pack, she picked up her pace to a slow jog. The exercise felt great, and even though her breath was already coming in short little gasps, she picked up her pace until she was at a full-on run. Damsel didn't know where she was going until she had gotten there, and then it had started to rain. Stopping, she looked up at the dark sky and sighed. 'Why must it rain so much?' she thought to herself. It seemed like, to her, that it was always raining. It wasn't that Damsel didn't like getting wet, it was just the fact she liked sunny weather better than the sticky air rain gave her. Being that it was nighttime at the moment, it didn't bother her as much.
Damsel jumped when she heard a loud gurgling noise, but settled when she realized it was only her stomach. 'Might as well stop and hunt. I can bring my pups back some fresh meat.' Sticking her nose close to the ground, she started sniffing around for meat, and after only a few steps, she was overwhelmed by dog scent. Not dog, but pup scent. The rain must have washed away some of the scent, but with Damsel's keen nose, she had found the stray pup quick enough. They were cowering under a bush. As to not frighten them, she slowly approached, calling out, "Hello? Are you okay, little one? Do you need any help?" All the while she had crept slowly towards the bush she knew the pup lay. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Muscles tensed, the small girl was curled up comfortably in her little hiding spot. Although the rain still drenched her it made this dreary night not as terrible. Gave her a little bit of reason to keep her head up, despite everything that had happened. If only Mat was here, he always knew how to make it better. Shifting her weight, she kept her body close to itself to get the most warmth out of the situation - and comfort. Muscles tensed, this world was a dark place, a dark and corrupt place. The gods had cursed her, taking away her hearing and speech. Giving her minimal communication. And to be easily corrupted by those around her. It had always been that way though, she was an easy target. Could she ever expect it? Wishing that this world was far kinder than she knew it was. Only six months old but she knew how cruel this place was, how dark it was. It was difficult to keep yourself in the light when surrounded by evil things. Some drops of rain splashed upon her nose, and she watched the little cold liquid curiously for a moment. Before it ran off to one of the sides.
The scent of another would drift into her nose, and she peered through the darkness. Eyes wide, nose twitching curiously, ears fell back instantly. Not for sound, but to show that she was uneasy with another being near her. Leave. she thought to herself, she didn't want anyone to be here. They were all just dark, cruel things. Rylie didn't need them, no, she didn't. She was fine, Mat would be back. He had to be. He always came back, never leaving her for long. However he had been gone more than he usually was. Narrowing her eyes, she scooted back into the confines of her hiding space more. Watching the stranger cautiously, she moved her maw, and Rylie did nothing but cock her head to the side. Confusion plastered across her features.
Making an awkward growl type of whine, she scooted back even further. The volume lacked control, fluctuating how it wished. But she would hit a dead end as she backed up. Glancing back at the tree behind her, she sighed. The air rushing through her nostril rather swiftly. Great, now what? She was trapped between a strange dog, and a wall basically. Trying to study the other dog despite the darkness, she watched carefully, trying to read if she meant any harm by her body language or not. She seemed generally relaxed, calm, but that didn't mean anything. She could easily switch, like a light. Like the sun, off and on, just like that.
