DASH
FEMALE
4 YEARS
DOGUE DE BORDEUX
RHAZORN
Dash is large, massive, ugly dog. She knows it and so does everyone else that looks at her. With a face only a mother could love she has a smashed in mastiff snout, the wrinkles and dropping lips to match- lips that might I add are often dripping with drool. Her eyes match the color of her coat, a bright copper color. In fact the only part of her that is not copper is the patch on her chest, which is white. Her nails, kept rather dull due to constant walking on pavement are a pink color- not black.
Structure wise she is massive, she has a wide torso full of muscle. She tends to carry less fat than she should; leaving her muscular body fully exposed and accounted for. This does not bother her though; only an idiot would dare test her strength. Her skin is loose, giving an advantage in fights, it allows dogs to pull and pull- and while it does hurt, she can still maneuver rather easily to get a better bite. Even things such as her tail can become a weapon as it is thick at the base and at its tip is still thicker than what most dogs have. This girl is a force to be reckoned with, weighing in at an average of 135 pounds and standing at 30 inches at the shoulder.
Dash is first of all a very fierce appearing dog, she carries the mastiff build well, and given her rather ugly appearance, she can be quite intimidating to talk to. This does not change much in her personality. She is a very fierce dog, loyal to the core but fierce none-the-less. She can get down and play, but for the most part she sticks to her serious vibe and lets others be intimidated by her.
By fierce I mean she can be quite aggressive, although she does not lash out sporadically or without cause- when she does finally lash out, you can bet it will be full force, without hesitation or holding anything back. Dash does not see the black and white of fighting, what would be seen as wrong to one dog would be seen to her as a good resource to use. She is not above cheating in a fight if it keeps her safe, all is fair in love and war…right?
Dash is very determined, there are few challenges given that she does not take and succeed in. Once she accepts a challenge she will not stop until it is seen through- unless of course it risks the well being of her family. Even then she will often mull over a way to succeed without harming her family. She is very stubborn and hard headed, often having to be told twice to do something before she will actually do it. This does not mean she is lazy, but she has a very dominant nature and given the fact that she is stubborn, it is hard to get her to do anything when it is not on her time. However, she does expect others to do as their told- when they are told.
When it comes to loyalty there is no one you would rather have on your side, she would give her llife for her family or anyone she trusts, but she will not blindly lend her faith in anyone, to get her loyalty and trust, it must be earned. She is always watching those around her making sure that they aren’t trying to get too close for comfort. That being said, Dash is a dog of space, she does not like anyone in her face or touching her that is the quickest and easiest way to get bitten with this girl. She is not afraid to let anyone know that she doesn’t like something and when she does the saying ‘subtle as a gun’ comes to mind. She’ll either lash out or making it painfully obvious that she does not like whatever it is.
Dash is not a heartless dog, quite the opposite; this is a dog full of passion and fire. Having learned early on that not feeling anything is just as big a weakness as caring too much. She does separate her emotional side from her logical side, when she needs to make a choice it is rare you will find her confused on what to do, she puts aside her emotions and thinks only about what is best to do in that situation. There is no ‘but if I do this so and so will be happier’. If it is the wrong move then she is content to have so and so sad as a lamb waiting to be supper.
The sheer size of Dash makes her presence commanding, but it is more than just that, from the way she carries herself to the stares she gives it is obvious she is a dog that likes being in charge. Her shoulders are more than strong enough for the hard weight of making decisions and she cares it well. While some stress or pawn things off on those below them, Dash takes it in stride and holds the burden- she doesn’t let anyone else carry it for her.
Dash is not a cruel dog by principle, she is protective and because of that she can be cold and cruel. She may not be the type to believe in second chances on bad offenses but she is known for being just and level headed when it comes to punishments. Of course, when she is needed to look cold and malicious it doesn’t take much to give the appearance, she can put aside her emotions and do what is needed- included killing if that be the case but it is not a punishment that she would deal out without thought. To sum her up she is a very firm dog.
There is one major thing. If you have her loyalty and you are hurt, she will avenge you. She will do everything in her power to make sure that the perpetrator is dealt with and that the amount of pain is dealt ten-fold. Now, if you betray her, well, your best bet is to run for the hills- and run fast. This is not the dog you want to piss off. She is every bit as vengeful as the next dog but she is also crafty and intelligent, she will pick her battles and even let her vendetta fall for years before picking it back up when you aren’t expecting it. Just remember, Dash does not play fair. Never has, never will.
Despite this, she can be quite loving and if anyone needs her assistance- be it a fight in the alley or a room to sleep in, she is more than happy to offer a place in her home (provided they are either children or females of course.)

Dash grew up on the streets; while humans were prominent in her area she did not necessarily socialize with them- in fact she did her best to avoid them at all costs. Originally she had been born to a breeding facility- the only reason her blood is pure French mastiff, but the owners had not been able to handle such a large- feisty puppy and so, instead of returning her like the contract said, they dumped her on the side of the road in a box. As horrid as that seemed, it wasn’t all that bad, it was in the middle of summer and the box had been hot so she had clambered out and ran off, running into a rather optimistic and friendly soul that took her in.
The problem? The good semeritan turned out to be a confused dog with a mind for both mayhem and helping others. The two sides conflicted with each other, eventually driving him mad. That wouldn’t have been bad either but he took the brunt of his frustrations out on her, using her as a punching bag of sorts until she was large enough to use him as one- and she did, for months. Without realizing it she had slowly progressed into a conflicted and confused dog just like her teacher had been, she didn’t realize this until her beatings went too far and she killed her teacher- her family.
From that point on Dash tried her best to stay away from males, as their presence seemed to bring forth memories of the teacher she had killed, filling her with all forms of emotions- from rage to sorry to happiness, she felt everything in between for the dog she had killed. You see, Dash does not hate males, but she does not like being around them either, that rough, irrational side of her tends to take over when she gets too close to them emotionally.
