SOLOMON
MALE
SEVEN
GREAT PYRENEES
LONER
A behemoth of a canine, Solomon is truly a massive, forbidding figure. Towering over most of his species at a staggering 37 inches and 125lbs, his appearance remains a threatening one despite his gentle and kindhearted demeanor. He is thick-boned and heavily muscled, though such a fine physique is veiled by an insurmountably thick layer of coarse, ivory fur. A telltale characteristic of his ancient lineage, Solomon's weather resistant pelt coat thickens around his shoulders and chest, much like the mane of a lion, whilst thinning into feathers upon the back of his front legs, his hinds lacking such feathers entirely. His first impression is often a negative one, purely based on such size and volume; although overwhelming, however, it is surely worth to work past and unravel the beastly mongrel.
Now, the male's head, unlike his body, is not so clustered with so much impenetrable, alabaster fur. His facial features are defined, pronounced, Solomon's eyes, such brilliance and intelligence within their depths, a striking chocolate, the oddly vibrant color contrasting greatly against the paleness of his pelt. His head is not square, per say, but relatively defined, with thickly-furred ears that stick close to his head and jowls that sag just barely below his chin. His nose, mirroring the lining of his eyes and and inky color of his lips, is a deep onyx in color, once again serving only to define such features. With time, as his age begins to creep up on him, the white surrounding the male's features will rust or grow darker, must to his dismay. As of yet, however, no sign of said aging has taken place.

loyal. Perhaps attributed to the breed of which makes up his ancestry, Solomon is an undoubtedly devoted and trustworthy brute. Should he offer his allegiance, it will remain everlasting until his dying day - never, would this male go against his word or harm those of which he has grown close to. Solomon will do anything for those he is assigned to, as well as those he acquires a fancy for; he is selfless in this fashion, and entirely willing to sacrifice himself for the good of those deserving.
tolerant. An evidently forgiving, patient, and humane individual, Solomon is not one to pass premature judgement or remain narrow-minded in his views. He offers each and every being upon the planet a chance and, though perhaps odd considering his past, will always try to see the good within those he comes across. This is a brute who, despite his imposing size, will lounge about whilst a pup is tugging at his ear without complaint - it takes a very persistent, savage cause to rile him, as he is a naturally of a more serene nature.
independent. Despite the fact Solomon does, from time to time, enjoy the company of groups, majority of his leisure is spent within his lonesome. He adores the idea of having a family once more but, in regards to those unrelated to him, doesn't particularly relish in the stimulation of constant company. This is a male of whom doesn't grow bored easily, nor is he in constant search of entertainment; he is simply content in being.
reserved. Although he can be exceedingly inviting, Solomon is not by any means overly outgoing. He is a social creature, as most canines tend to be, but he does not expect to be the center of anyone's attention. He is a soft-spoken and genuine canine, for the most part, and thus does not take part in rambunctious company in this regard - he is unwilling to grow violent, just as he is unwilling to grow loud or obnoxious.
attentive. Due to the countless years spent guarding livestock, Solomon has become accustomed be being constantly aware of his surroundings. His nature is exceptionally observant and vigilant, especially when he has others to support and protect - which is anyone he is in company with, truly.
affectionate. To those of whom he is familiar with (or otherwise, depending on the situation), Solomon can be a very tender, nurturing, and warm individual. He is unafraid to show his fondness for another with affection, and is content in doting on those of whom he is close to. He's exceptionally gentle in this regard, and holds no reserves as far as a friendly nuzzle or lick is concerned.
protective. Although this male has a seemingly nonexistent temper, such is not the case; should something or someone be threatened in his presence, Solomon can turn from level to fierce in mere moments. It is not angry nor violent, but simply warning - he will protect his family with every fibre of his determined, loyal, and compassionate being.

year one to two. Born and raised upon a massive expanse of secluded, isolated farmland, Solomon grew into living a very sheltered, relaxed life. He served as the guardian of a large flock of sheep, learning the ropes solely due to his mentor's gentle and aiding hand. The humans were rather uninvolved in the canine's life, as their outlook was a rather passive one; and yet, during times of which they were needed to coexist, peace always remained. Solomon knew not the cruelty of man, but merely the ability to do his job peacefully alongside them. The male grew rapidly but, at two years of age, did not yet take lead as far as protection was concerned -- said title belonged to his dear friend and parental figure, an elderly fellow of which pertained the intelligence of an immortal. He was a calm soul, dedicated to the work of which needed to be done, and it is this influence that shaped Solomon into the passive being he is today.
year three. Upon Solomon's third birthday he was left within his lonesome, the body of his superior having been laid to rest beneath a solitary tree of which he cherished. The humans however, sensing that one dog alone could not be responsible for a growing herd, purchased two more dogs; a year-old male and a female of three years. The three bonded almost immediately and formed a very close friendship -- and, while Solomon grew exceptionally close to the female, said relationship did not cause a rift between the three monstrous beings. They remained comrades for the remainder of the year, easily scaring off predators of which longed for the goods that they so willingly protected.
year four to five. During this expanse of his life, Solomon and the female on the property actually admitted bearing feelings for one another, such admission resulting in the two becoming mates and the female becoming pregnant shortly after. It was a slow year, his fourth, though it ended with the birthing of a litter of three -- something that the humans did not mind, and thus did not bother to intervene. With that said, however, distaste was quick to strike. Long following his sixth birthday, the puppies still merely defenseless bundles of fur, a pack of nearby wolves called for both Solomon and his male friend's attention. Reluctantly he parted from his small family, nuzzling his mate as he headed off and towards the bloodbath, only to return half of an hour later, bloodied and broken. What he came upon, however, was horrifying; his mate was wounded whilst his children had been slaughtered, devoured by the pack without remains to mourn over. The sheep had just been a diversion. Solomon was outraged, but curled against his lover's side in the most dedicated fashion, allowing her to feed off of his body heat and, hopefully, allow life to be breathed into her once more. She lay alongside her all night, only to awaken the next morning, body curled into a freezing and stiff corpse. Upon investigation by the humans, he was found no longer fit to work and was torn away from his friend and dead mate, shipped to a shelter across seas that specialized in placing larger dogs.
year six to seven. Despite the work of the shelter, no home was able to cope with his size and/or dull behavior. Solomon had lost his luster, his life, and it showed in the way he refused to move from his bed each and every day. The wounds began to heal in time, certainly, and such zest returned when placed in a home with a small child; Solomon found his protective instincts being revived, his will to live growing with each passing day. The end of the world came shortly following this discovery, however, and Solomon ended up in the streets, forced to adapt to both the new environment and living without the aid of human kind.
