Amorette
Female
3 years old
Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever
Cesavias
Amorette is considered a beauty, however, most of her breed is. She has slim features and an elegant disposition. She tries to individualize herself amongst her breed, sense she is so painfully average by Duck Tolling Retriever standards. Although looks aren't her biggest fish to fry, she tries to maintain her coat- making sure it's always tangle free and soft, with an extra shine to her golden locks. Her mother was somewhat a vain woman, and had always told her that the first impression is all about how you look. Even if Amorette doesn't entirely believe this, it's something that has been ingrained into her brain more than once and without being aware, she always seems to find herself making sure she looks decent.
Underneath the fur, Amorette has an athletic build, with long, lean legs. But don't be fooled, she has some power in those legs, granted she isn't the hulk- she can sit back and take off pretty well, being able to run for a few miles at high speed. Amorette doesn't have a strong grip, she's better at flushing out the prey and leading it to other members to do the actual physical damage.
Amorette has a round head, a slim muzzle ending in a pink/black nose. She has an almond shaped pair of yellow eyes, flecked with greenish brown. She has white markings along the top of her muzzle, starting off where her nose begins, leading in a thin line between her eyes and disappearing along her forehead. Her chest, paws, slightly beneath her tail are adorned in white.
Amorette has an exceptionally fluffy tail, with some feathering down her legs, ending at her paws. She stands 19 in at the shoulder and weighs roughly around 43 lbs.

Amorette is what her names suggests; a lover. She believes all anybody needs is a little compassion and understanding, even the most ruthless and cold heard canine is capable of love, they just need the chance to learn how to properly express it. Which can make her a wee bit overbearing. Amorette doesn't know when to cool it, she'll drive someone insane with her constant 'nagging'. She doesn't usually realize how annoying she can get until someone snaps at her, and for the rest of the day she'll sulk. Amorette can be a bit oversensitive, usually not taking kindly to unwanted criticism. She tries to give a strong disposition when her feelings are hurt, but what she really wants to do is go into a corner and cry for a bit, then go right back to 'annoying' the same canine or whatever canine crosses her path, only to be snapped at and cry some more.
Although she can be a tad too pushy, her heart is really in the right place. She hates to see others deprived of affection and in response, take the wrong path. She'll usually take it upon herself to help them, although it hardly ever works, she has hope she'll change someone's life one day.
Although she may be a sweetheart through and through. Amorette is extremely prideful and independent. She hates being told what to do or how she should do it, and if you're one of those type of dogs who pushes her without giving her a second though, consider yourself unloved. She won't forgive you until the next century... perhaps. Amorette doesn't take kindly to being told she's wrong, she isn't afraid to spit out a few insults here and there, but if she still likes you because you don't push her around like a ragdoll, she'll still love you. <3
oh la la. Amorette, if you haven't guessed by her name, is French. Although her accent isn't strong, it is detectable. Her first language is French, so she's bound to mess up a few English words now and again. Amorette can't go without sweeting up a sentence without including some French, she may speak a whole sentence to you in French, or just a few words, depending on how comfortable she is around you. If you're good friends, she may get carried away with herself and switch to French without realizing it. If just an acquaintance or a newish friend, she'll be mindful, perhaps only speaking a word or two and keeping the conversation- almost- strictly French.
Amorette is a hopeless romantic, she dreams of what it would be like to have all the love she gives returned. She wonders what it would be like to have children and how they would grow to model citizens, with manners and understanding hearts without a clouded way of thinking. Amorette is in love with the idea of love, which could lead her into jumping into a romantic relationship pretty fast. She's been in a toxic relationship more than once because of her impulsiveness, but manages to break it off with a sunny outlook of the future of what she could have in a man.
Sticking with not a fighter, Amorette is a coward. When it comes to other dogs, especially when they tower over her and begin to get physically aggressive, Amorette will immediately back down. She'd like to stand up for herself, but when push comes to shove, she tucks tail and runs- unable to muster up the courage to bite back.

Her mother was a gorgeous thing, a deep chestnut with a pair of the deepest brown eyes, like warm pools of chocolate. She attracted males everywhere she went, not always intentional. But there was only one male in her heart she could truly give herself to, a man named Ares. Her mother, Marionette, had tried to attract the strongly built, golden furred male for as long as anyone could remember. Ares always thought Marionette a whore, even if she didn't give herself to every male that passed by, her dazzling looks were enough to give her a title wrongly received. She tried everything to prove to Ares she was anything but, and it had worked. Ares finally gave up an decided to get to know her, Marionette was beyond cloud nine, she was in heaven!
After several months of getting to know one another, Marionette fell further in love with the protective and kind man she knew he would be, and Ares discovered a woman he didn't expect her to be. She was kind and thoughtful, albeit vain. But he could look past it, besides, it didn't hurt that she took care of her physical appearance. On a warm, summer morning, Ares and Marionette conceived Amorette and her siblings.
During the summer of her pregnancy, Marionette couldn't have been more in love with life, she loved Ares and their future offspring more than words could ever describe. The two made themselves at home in the forest, taking refuge near a small pond with fresh, clean water and enough prey to keep them alive when the war began. Marionette and Ares agreed that they would never expose their little ones to the danger of human destruction.
That fall, they were born. Three healthy babies, a girl and two boys. The two boys were named Leonard and Boyce. The girl was named Amorette, after their love. Marionette mainly stayed with them whilst Ares went out to hunt and protect their home from wondering dogs that also wanted to retreat in their sanctuary. On one wintery morning, when Amorette was around 2 months of age, humans treaded into the forest, humans looking for their own refuge from the fight that didn't seem to have an ending. Forced to move from their home, Ares and Marionette moved their babies and selves closer to civilization, the forest beginning too be overrun by sick, half dead humans and vicious, blood thirsty dogs.
Around 7 months of age, Amorette was their only remaining heir. Both of her brothers had been slaughtered by a big male that her father and mother could not fend off, they were both devastated. They were of course glad they still had their daughter, their daughter was anything but. All of their expectations and wants were placed on her shoulders. Her mother would scold her every time her fur became a little dirty, telling her to march right into the den and clean herself up. Her father would begin to teach her to hunt, although it was useful, it was also painful. He pushed her beyond her physical strength, leaving her exhausted and dirty, only to return home to her mother ordering to clean herself up.
When she was a year old, France was no longer a safe place. That spring night, Marionette and Ares lead their only child to a boat, a boat that was to transfer all the wealthy, important people across the ocean and to a safe place within the Americas. They remained, for they did not want to leave France, but they didn't want her to succumb to their inevitable doom. She boarded, leaving everything she knew behind.
When she landed in the new world, it was like nothing she'd ever seen. Everything was different, the architect, the food, the dogs... everything. Amorette found herself becoming home sick, longing for France. Even though she was a stranger in a stranger land, she kept a bright outlook, slowly, but surely learning the native English from helpful dogs she crossed paths with, and determination to live her life to it's fullest. Through her year of traveling and learning her new home, Amorette came across and lovely pack of dogs she considers her true home. They had the same bright smiles and loving hearts she had, and she craved to be in the warm environment they set up for themselves. Amorette joined without a second thought, loving on everybody like there's no tomorrow.
(Sorry for the crappiness, I wanted to reveal more of her history throughout her character development)
