Our Undefined Fate [PB]

A virus has struck humanity centuries ago and gave some of them powers that are beyond imagination. The Government tried to silence them, to silently destroy the evidence of their mistake, but far too late. The population and the mutated gene had spread further and further and even managed to become a gene present in everyone, although in most it was lying dormant.

Those who manifested the gene, were hunted and captured by the government to be disposed off as quickly and humanly as possible.

Of course mutants did not allow this and escaped to places they deemed safe, helping others to escape. They were helped by humans who also did not deem this acceptable, those allowing for better rescues as none suspected them.

Nonetheless, the balance has changed again with the discovery of a new virus that allows certain persons to control one to five mutants at once. Those are sworn to protect those persons called retainers. With such power in their hands, the mutants have more difficulties fighting for their freedom.

Something can tip the scales over, but most importantly...
